KATHLEEN JACOBS

Kathleen Jacobs grew up in western Massachusetts and spent summers on Cape Cod. She holds a BFA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, studied painting at the Lyme Academy of Fine Art in CT. and is an MFA candidate at Art Institute of Boston.  Jacobs has studied with renowned painters Robert Sweeney, Marian Brown, and Richard Yarde. Jacobs' landscape paintings inspired by two favorites, Corot and Cezanne, create a sense of calm, using a simplified color palette and somewhat abstract composition.
