WALTER
DORRELL

Dorrell is a graduate of
Amherst college and is a self-taught plein-air painter. Resident artist and
gallery owner, he has been painting the Outer Cape landscape for twenty years,
and is well-known for his jewel –like watercolors. Summer finds him at work on
location in his canoe or secluded local sites. Studio still-lifes are his winter
work, often taking several weeks to complete from a “live” set-up. His
paintings are in many fine collections and have been exhibited in several
galleries and museums throughout New England. Additionally, his work was
included in the recent Provincetown Art Association show “The Art Student’s
League at the Cape.”
