JOAN CLARK
Long familiar with Cape Cod, Clark frequently paints on
location, creating glowing renditions of familiar beach scenes and lush
gardens on the Outer Cape. Her still-lifes are infused with light and
color, reflecting her travels in Hawaii and Italy, and often feature a
personal memento. Clark’s work in both genres reflects her prodigious
drawing skills, which enable her to create and sustain a lyrical
realism. She studied at the Boston University School of Fine Art,
exhibited at Provincetown Art Association, Cape Cod Museum of Art in
Dennis, MA , and is included in their “Secret Garden Tour.” Clark is
also an exhibiting member of the historic Copley Society in Boston.
She’s had several solo shows at the Kendall Art Gallery and is in many
private collections.
